You know that part in Elf where Buddy & his stepbrother drag home a giant tree to decorate? And then it cuts to his dad's wife, Emily saying to his dad, 'I don't see what the big deal is, they were just having a little fun.' And then Buddy's dad has a little melt down? While I really hope my kids never bring home any part of our local park beyond pine cones, I admire Emily's outlook on Buddy. She just loves him where he's at: an adult child in green tights who thinks Candy Canes are a major food group. The holidays are such a good time to keep that in mind & love the people in our lives right where they are, giant bags of maple syrup spaghetti and all :) I love how Christmas movies create such a sense of tradition and nostalgia! Today we get to share a new movie that should be given the chance to join the classics on your family's list. The Man Who Invented Christmas tells the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day), the film shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today. THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS releases in theaters on November 22. While we're at it, who would love to add to their favorite holiday movie tradition with some new DVD's? The stars of The Man Who Invented Christmas, Christopher Plummer & Dan Stevens, are no strangers to being a part of lovely holiday classics. I mean, come on! Captain Von Trapp & The Beast? Love! *giveaway*
Tell us your very favorite movie to watch as the holidays approach & you'll be entered to win this awesome three pack of movies on DVD! The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, & A Christmas Carol could all be yours! Hooray! This contest ends Sunday night at 6pm.

My husband and I always watch Christmas Vacation every year. As a family we don’t have a traditional movie yet, but we always watch some sort of Christmas movie on Christmas Eve.
